Benefits of Anti-slip Flooring

You have just opened your new business—Bob’s Groceries. The problem is, it is raining and your customers are slipping and sliding over the tile you have laid down to impress them. How do you avoid this problem? With Anti-slip flooring!

Cleanliness

Anti-slip flooring is perfect for most situations. If it is raining out, lay some flooring down next to the door and as your customers come in, the initial water runoff from their feet will run down between the open parts of the rubber flooring and will not be tracked into the rest of the store. Install a drain of some sort below the flooring and you will not even have much of a mess to clean up at all. Anti-slip flooring will also prevent scuff marks from showing up on your nice tile flooring. You know how some people drag their feet as they walk into a store, they will drag their feet once or twice on the rubber floor and never do it again (their foot will not scuff up the flooring). Keeping this anti-slip flooring around will make your place seem much more friendly and inviting. It will be much cleaner and tidier for the perfectionist customers or the big boss coming in from the head offices.

Portability

When the area starts to look a bit unsightly, the portability of the anti-slip flooring makes cleaning a snap. You just peel up the rubber flooring and mop underneath it. If you have a leak in your roof or in the bathroom you can move the flooring to the trouble area to make sure unfortunate customers or employees do not slip and fall and hurt themselves. Anti-slip flooring is a little heavy at times because of the rubber content, however the weight is really how you know it is right for your specific application. The rubber does not break down as easily as other materials might.

Between Showers

If you live in a dry climate you probably will not get a lot of rain showers. Thus, you can use your anti-slip flooring for your employees instead. Buy a whole row of them and give them to your employees to stand on as they do their work (if they are standing employees in retail for instance). If they are not so much standing employees as they are moving, keep your anti-slip flooring handy for the times when there is maintenance to be done and an employee needs to stand for a period of time or kneel down to fix something.
