Rubber Matting
Rubber matting has many different applications in a variety of locations. Rubber matting can be used for safety reasons in areas that are wet or greasy, such as kitchens. Rubber matting used in kitchens is usually thick and heavy, but not secured to the floor with adhesive tape. This allows for easier cleaning or replacement of the rubber matting if necessary. Rubber matting can also be used to relieve fatigue or stress placed on the legs, thighs, and back. Rubber matting with anti-fatigue properties is common in industries where standing for long periods is an occupational hazard. Rubber matting can also be used in areas where sanitation and cleanliness is an issue, such as hospitals. Because rubber matting is easy to clean, doesn't stain, and isn't porous, it's typically very sanitary. Rubber matting is also used to protect carpeting and hardwood floors from spills, wear and tear, scuffs, and scratches. Many common items and occurrences can damage floors, and it's wise to use rubber matting to protect them from furniture, pets, children, and high foot traffic.
Rubber matting isn't just for commercial, industrial, and retail areas. Rubber matting can be a smart, and even attractive, addition to homes, garages, basements, or fitness rooms.
